First day at school

January 8, 2008

Adam had his first day at school yesterday. Not a backwards glance or a goodbye when they let him in!

And he looks very cute in his new uniform.

Of course getting the uniform was fun. Any guesses as to whether they order extra 4-5 year old clothes in for the January intake?

There are some pictures from our recent visit to Tresaith on flickr. The house didn’t burn down, despite our best efforts.

The Flying Fox

On the Flying Fox

We had a great time at Tresaith over Easter. The boys had great fun on the Flying Fox - the pirate ship Dad has built in the woods by the side of the house.

There are some pics from my mobile on my mobile blog, and there are a load on my camera which I will upload at some point ….

Slight Understatement

Apparently, Sadaam’s hanging could have been more dignified.

D’you think?

Christmas 2006

January 2, 2007

Well - Christmas with 3 boys under 4 was exciting.

We spent Christmas Eve at my parents. The highlight was my Dad appearing as Santa (he had a costume from doing stuff with the Lions). The boys were totally taken in and reallyreally excited. More surprising was that Bess (their dog) also seemed to be fooled by the disguise - apparently she only wets the floor when she sees new people!

Then Christmas Day at the inlaws. This year I managed to avoid making thebig present for the boys (this year it was the Castle of Doom - about 3 foot tall by 2 foot wide of castle for the brave knights to play in. Jane was chief construction engineer this year - and obviously the boys helped in their own special way.

The on Boxing Day we were home again, and had a visit from Pete and Kelly, who brought a super-hero car for the boys … made apparently from all the boxes that everyones presents came in. They cunningly gave the boys this just before they left … which happened to be just before bedtime … so the boys were hardly over-excited at all! They boy sat in it for ages, and it became the place of choice to sit and watch telly until it was destroyed just before new year.

The important thing to say though is that both Adam and Sam were brilliant this year - virtually no fights over toys, happily letting each other play with their toys most of the time - whcih was great.

A good end to the year then! Roll on 2007. I will post some pictures on flickr once I get them off my camera.
